Week 9

Week 9 Monday ,
I was absent on that day && i missed a test :<

Thursday:
The lesson on that day was about 1994 Pulitzers Prize by Kevin Carter.
The image was about a Vulture and an Africian child.
My first impression on this picture tells me that the child was very pitiful.
I felt sad for the child as the vulture was waiting for the child's death so that it could eat it up :<
We worked as a group of 4 to complete a worksheet given.
After completing the worksheet, Mr Chua told us the story behind this picture.
The picture was taken by Kevin Carter when he was at Africa.
After taking the picture, he left without helping the child.
Soon, when he won the Pulitzers Prize , everyone scolded him for not helping the child.
The pressure was so big on him thus he commited suicide.
If I was Kevin Carter , i would by all means help the child instead of leaving her alone and being fed by the vulture.
I think if he didnt regret helping this kid, he should not be a human.
Maybe thats why the commited suicide in order to prevent the guilt ?

Week 8

Hey , now im gonna start on week 8 .

Week 8 Monday ,
Mr Chua came in with Mr Narz that day .
I thougt that Mr Narz was going to be our trainee teacher for Lit but it turns out that it was not .
Mr Chua handed worksheets for us to do and he left o.O
So, Mr Narz was our relieft teacher for that period.
We did our work quietly as told although theres whispers here and there.
Overall , He was pleased with our class performance :)
I think that we should work on our noise level as there was times when he had to walk over and tell us to keep quiet.

Thursday :
Mr Chua came in and handed out our AYLT worksheet.
And he said that we are copying our friends' work and its not safe to hand our homework up before the lesson as friends may just take your homework without you knowing and copy it .
I think that this incident should make us have more integrity.
After getting back my worksheet , i got full marks :)
Im very happy that i got full marks for almost all my paper and this prove that i can do well if i put my time && effort in it :)
We went through the answers on that worksheet .
Lastly before the bell rang, Mr Chua gave us an article as a homework.
Overall , i think that integrity is very important.

Week 7

Hellos , im back for week 7 :)
Theres no lesson on Monday because of national day *
Week 8 Friday ,
We went to CEPP corner for our first class rehersal :)
We went to put bags at the corner and we went to sit down for a brief briefing on what to do by Mr Chua.
While the actors are on stage, the stage manager and the costume personnels are supposed to grade them and give 2 comments on each role.
My group, Alpha got the "stage" .
We sat there and we began our acting.
I think our group did badly because the actors are just playing around not taking it seriously :<
I would want to make my group a better one so that we all can get good grades !

Week 6

Hey :D here i am for more lit blogging . On week 6 , Monday :
After we greeted Mr chua , we started on the Mighty Mandarin.
Mr Chua gave us read a little true story made by Jack*
The story was about how drugs affect his life and how he was able to overcome it.
This story was given because Mr Chua wanted to rate our reading skills and projecting of voice.
I didnt got selected by Mr Chua so i went on reading on my own.
As i read on, i felt that eating drugs only cause u more pain and problems instead of curing your pain.
Still, why are there still so many people out there willing to take drugs even though you cant get rid of the pain ?

Week6: Thursday
Today we continued on Mighty Mandarin :)
It was a special lesson on that day.
Everyone including Mr Chua played a role in the Mighty Mandarin.
I think this is good because it gives us a chance to project our voice and work as a class.
After that , we got reprimanded by Mr Chua for our Lit play .
We should start getting our costumes ok soon :)

Week 3

This lesson is regarding about Elvis Presley as well.
Upon reading more text on " Are You Lonesome Tonight" really makes me aching for more about Elvis (:
On this lesson, we read about scene 3.
Before that, we also had questions from Mr Chua as usual to make us think.
We learnt alot about Elvis's pain and how he felt when he was describing his pain.
It makes me heart ache for him :x
Thoughts about Elvis:
Elvis is not as perfect as i think of him should be.
He does not treasure things as much as other people would.
And lastly , on the next post , it will be pictures about Elvis :) :)

Week 2

Hellos , yes ! i am back for more Lit stuffs ~~
As usual , Mr Chua would give us some questions to recap what we had done the previous lessons.
That lesson, we got to know more about Elvis's character and how he treasure Redhead.
On the following lesson, Khairul was called to answer Mr Chua's answer: How do you think Elvis treat Redhead.

Khairul got the answer wrong because he said the Elvis cared for Redhead but actually he does not care for Redhead.
After some questions, we started on " Are you lonesome tonight " scene 2.
Scene 2 talks about Younger Presley and his mama , Gladys Presley.
Mr Chua also showed us a video of Elvis's last performance as he failed to show us on the previous lesson.
From what i seen from the video, Elvis was having a hard time performing as he was sweating very much and his performance was worst than the ones i seen on the net when he was younger. I wondered alot if Elvis did not take drugs, would he have a better performance? and if he does not take drugs, that video would not be the last performance for him. I feel rather pity for him that he is wasting his talent on drugs. I think that if he had not take drugs, he would have more fantastic performance and people would be happy instead of crying over his death ):
